Eric Martel purchased his first apartment building when he was just 18 years old while still at university. After graduation, he was dismayed to see hundreds of company pension plans being rolled over into 401(k)s shifting the retirement risk to employees. A few years later, Eric lost a fortune during the dot-com crash of 2001 and started looking for ways in real estate to earn passive income and stop trading time for money.
